Nope sorry. But you can use an external monitor, or even your TV haha. Keep in mind that 17'' screen drain batteries faster than 14'' screens. The dimensions will also be smaller. If the specs are good for that laptop, don't worry about an inch of screen, because it doesn't make your laptop obsolete. If anything, it's a smart thing to do because once you buy a laptop, unless it comes with a large cell-battery, battery life is a concern for most people who use their laptops on the run. Good luck looking for the perfect laptop, because I'm in love with mine :)

You can upgrade it, but not it the future. most lcd monitors that are built into laptops, ARE NOT user upgradable, If you wanted to upgrade it, you would have to send it into the manufacturer, and let them upgrade it, although, that will come at a price. The screen size WILL be fixed, and there is nothing you can do about that.

So if I were you, I would just pick the best monitor (ie: resolution, and size) that fits your needs, because the one you pick will most probably be the one you stick with for the lifetime of your laptop.

Happy chosing.

NO, you can get an external monitor and hookit up to your Notebook but you cant upgrade notebook screens unless they are the same size and make as your original one... good luck 14 inch is not big enough

nope not easily. as an average thumb of rule, with laptops you are stuck with what it came with... they are not easily taken apart or easily upgradable because everything is so compact. you get what you pay for and usually the more expensive one is the best out there. look into exactly what you need and will need for the estimated length and lifetime of the lap top... don't plan on upgrading cause it will not be cost effective
