Rattlesnakes do not lay eggs. They are ovoviviporous, meaning that they keep the embryos inside their body until they're ready to be birthed. Rattlesnake mothers give birth to live, squirming, venemous babies.

I believe the number of young that a mother produces depends on the breed of the rattlesnake (yes, there are different breeds of rattlesnakes), but I believe the Timber rattlesnake gives birth to about 10 live young.

I'm thinking that rattlesnakes are born alive! What would you say to that? Not a bunch of eggs laid outside the mother.
