I have reservations about the UN. I agree they have been a moderate force in an otherwise polarized world.. but I can't forget the creation of Israel..
I have often wondered..if the UN were to back Native Americans by saying " Give them New York" the way they said "Give them Israel" would we fight it ? I bet we would

These are the wonderful people that gave us the Korean War (they solved that problem nicely, didn't they.)
The war in Iraq is also the UN's doing --- Saddam bribed enough of our "allies" in the security counsel and he thought they'd stop the British and Americans from enforcing the UN resolutions.
The UN has been totally ineffective in stopping the genocide in Africa.
Personally, I think Bolton is doing a pretty good job with trying to straighten up that dictator-infested, corrupted cesspool called the UN: but I think our next UN ambassadors should be a contingent of the United State First Marines...

Not just no, but hell no. The UN is a joke---Korean War, Darfur Rwanda being great examples of they're "great works". Either won't or can't back up they're own resolutions. Human right abusers on the human rights council. What we need is a council of democratic nations that will stand together and , if necessary, fight .

Yeah.... Oil for food, what a great thing.....
No, not in a million years would I support a vote for a foreign entity to dictate American Policy. Only a socialist flag burner would submit sovereignty to the UN.....

Not a bad concept, but at this time the USA would be considered a rogue nation. So we would have to change our "leadership" or have foreign troops in Washington.

no with their corrupt leadership proven by kofi (sex scandles and food for oil) the UN should be disbanded. They have no creditability in enforcing their own resolutions and have become a joke.

No because we could not agree who will lead the army.
What if China or some Muslim nation wanted to run it.
