Wearing high heels after the first 3 months of pregnancy is a bad idea because your center of gravity is off. My wife twisted her ankle when she was pregnant. That was a mess because they had to put a big lead shield on her to x-ray the ankle and she was worried about the x-ray for months. The doctor told us that when you're visibly pregnant, your "center of gravity" is not the same so you can be more prone to falling and you need crutches if you get a sprain.

I know that personally my back/feet/legs all say no. The problem with high heels is that they alter your posture and put a strain on your lower back. Best thing is to wear flat, comfortable shoes for your ever changing body, but occasionally wearing heels is okay as long as you are comfortable in them. The goal is to make sure you are comfortable so that your body, and in turn your baby, is happy.

I wouldn't wear them even if I wasn't pregnant... but I'd do whatever you are comfortable doing. If it doesn't hurt, go for it. I don't know how far along you are but remember that closer to the end of the second trimester your balance starts to go wacky and you shouldn't wear heels that are too wobbly/spikey. I'd wear chunky heels just to be safe. :)

I don't think that you can't, I just don't think that you should. Especially, if you are in your 6-9 month you should start to wear shoes that will support your arches (tennis shoes NOT sandals) because, you will start to gain weight so fast that your arched can/could fall. Then you might have to start to buy larger shoes after pregnancy. I never had to because, I already had fallen arches prior to pregnancy. Never the less, I still took care of my feet, they hardly ever became swollen.

I would be very careful, especially in the later months of your pregnancy. If your used to wearing them you may be ok but you have to consider your child now also. When I was pregnant I still wore them for my hubby but only when we were home.
Do what ever you feel comfortable with.
Good luck
