I've been playing videogames since before the Atari 2600 days. I had a C64, I had a Sega Genesis, the 16 bit Nintendo, a Playstation 1 and 2, and now I stick mostly with PC games. But I have very few friends, and haven't had a gf in like forever. Are there others like me out there?

You mean losers? yea, there are many like you out there. I've played video games from a young age too. I have no problems with it, and I'll encourage anyone to play video games because it gives great hand-eye coordination and some games can actually make you think. Thankfully, I have been able to unplug myself from my television long enough to be able to socialize and make real friends, not online "friends". If your problem with not being able to make friends is that you can't put that controller down long enough to have friends, then you need to learn how to use the "save" feature on your games and get out some more. Video game players today are degrading themselves by not getting out more often and settling with online chat buddies. It's also parents that use video games as "babysitters" instead of spending time with their children. Hope you can unplug long enough to make real friends. Laters.

It's not just videogames. I play games too online. People however are getting much less social. I know one major company just annouced that Friday no one at the job can use email or messenger to communicate. They must get up and talk face to face or call.

It is getting bad when it comes to that, and it is everyone. But, I like my computer just the same. PS I met my husband online 3 years ago.

Well, you are not alone. I have had guy friends who are also avid gamers and have never had any relationships with any girls before. Yeah, the internet and video games are making us more home-bound nowdays and it kind of lessen our chances of actually broadening our circle of friends in reality. Lots of guys here in Singapore and Japan actually are avid gamers too and well, most of them are singles! Which explains why our birth rate is dropping so drastically recently. Lost generation? No, but it certainly is a social problem.

In fact, it creates a new generation. A generation that will not populate the world because few people are getting to know knew people.

When humans appeared on earth, it stopped the evolution of animals. What evolve now are humans and you and your kinds are the newest generation.

enable's be honest. i did not study the hollow "question", yet I understand you. attempt to concentration on your destiny devoid of putting your social life aside. you're a highly intelligent guy and God has a good destiny saved for you. only get excitement from life, human beings are jealous of your intelligence. HATERS GONNA HATE. playstation : sorry for my english, i'm chilean.

Yes, there are others like you out there. But you must know that playing video games can makes you static. Friends can make you know what life is, not like video games, it teaches you nothing but having fun.

I think that you are describing the exact opposite of the "lost generation". I think they are creating an easy-to-find generation.

"Where's Skyler?"
"Playing World of Warcraft in his room"
"Oh, I could have guessed that."
"Yes, you could have, because we are part of the easy-to-find generation."
