yes there is this way:
talk with the person u want the Ip of, in IM(instant messaging)
send a file to him.....any file
then close any other internet explorer and IM windows.....simply all other programmes using the net.
then go to start>programmes>assessories>comand prompt
here give this command: netstat -n
this will give u the IP of that person.
then if u want, u can perform the reverse DNS to find where the person is logging from. it will be accurate if u and taht person are not using any proxies
(u can search 4 reverse DNS tools on any search engine....there u provide the ip to know where that person is logging from.)

:)

I am assuming that you have found the IP address from the message header. Once you have the IP address, you can use

http://www.iptoplace.com/
http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm
http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/

to narrow down the location.

Unfortunately, to track it town to an actual house hold/address you will need the assistance of the ISP who owns the IP address used.

Only if you work at Yahoo. Or if you open an email with spy-ware.
