Because their wool is full of Lanolin. You know that stuff that's extracted from wool to make hand lotion. However if they fall into a deep pool or river they will soak up the water like a sponge and drown.

their wool is kind of greasy making the water kinda run off. only the surface of the wool really gets wet and its all dirty and stuff anyway so the actual wool hardly gets wet at all.If you wear a woolley jersy out in the rain it doesn't shrink anyway so yea

roflmao, sheep are made of flesh and bone, not wool. they are just covered by raw wool, have you checked, does their coat shrink?????
