What reasons did they cancel the show and will they ever make a new Star Trek tv. series?

Hmmm, maybe it was lack of sponsors, too expensive, not enough people watching it.

Unless it was a Romulan conspiracy.

It was developed after the death of Roddenberry. The writers allowed it to suffer from the same fatal disease that all the other franchise programs died of: a darkening of the view of the future. When the whole series is about war with some alien species, it's too much like real life. That's not the purpose of Roddenberry's dream, and it never interested the ST fan base. And Enterprise barely cleared TWO seasons. Not nine.
Bottom line: Evil writers murdered the franchise.

It is the only Star Trek series to ever have consistently poor ratings.

Ratings, or more exactly poor ratings...The reason most shows gets cancelled.

Becouse it sucked! Everybody should have known that when there was lyrics to the theme song.

I think it was because of waning interest, not to mention it ran for like 9 years. Supposedly that is the magic number.
