Maybe you should go volunteer for a while at your local hospital. You can talk to the nurses and see what its really like.
The classes is a lot of information such as nutrition, biology, anatomy, chemistry, child birth, clinicals etc. But once you get into nursing its a lot of doing what doctors tell you, and a lot of paperwork.
You must have a strong stomache as you will see lots of gross stuff.

Volunteer at a hospital. You will find out if the career is right for you. Call the hospitals in your area and ask what the procedure is to be a hospital volunteer.
After volunteering for a month or so, you will know if nursing is a career you want to pursue.
