Several reasons: 1. To avenge the Versaille treaty. 2. To reunite the German speaking people. 3. Believe it or not, and the British and Americans were guilty of this one as well, to end the Great Depression. 4. Leibensraum (I think I spelled it right) or room to live. I think 4 was the biggest reason. and 5. To avenge Germans persecuted in other countries (Sudetenland, e.g.)P.S. He didn't invade Europe, he invaded the rest of Europe and Western Russia.

Because he believed that strong nations had the right and duty to take over and subjugate what he saw as weaker and inferior ones.
He started by moving East because he thought the Poles and Slavs were inferior and could be turned into agricultural slaves by murdering their leaders and anyone with much of an education. Huge chunks of Polish land were just stolen to give to ethnic Germans. Once he'd done it once, he found he was good at it, and stealing raw materials and labour from conquered countries, made up for the deficiencies of his economic plans at home.
What other nations wanted or deserved were irrelevant. The Jews were to blame for everything that had ever gone wrong in Germany and as the army moved East into a country, they murdered the Jews as they went.
Moving Westwards they were more careful, since western Jews looked just like everyone else and weren't as easy to write off as sub-human, but sooner or later, he got round to them too.

nicely we could see. We "The coalition" did not invade anybody. we are freeing a rustic that have been terrorized via a brutal dictator for over 30 years. Hitler became going after genuine assets. If the united states had to instruct Iraq into our 51st state, we would not have allowed them to VOTE on their own government, we would not would desire to objective and combat those human beings in direction of the attention of a needle. it could have been lots extra handy for us. The coalition is there to unencumber and shop that chosen government stable adequate so they'd build their own forces lower back up. Then and purely then do we bypass away and gladly do it! Please turn off the laptop and study your history. you quite do not sound extremely clever with questions which includes this.

I would say simply because he was a dictator. He wanted to make Germany's third reich the strongest empire in the world. He was a man that was given power, and history has shown that anyone with power ... wants more power. Also, considering the Holocaust, perhaps he felt that the rest of the world was inferior. With the other countries of Europe under his control, his dream of a "dominant Aryan race" would be much easier to live out

I think the holocaust played a huge part. He saw the final solution as a global project, so he had to go where the Jews were. If his issue was only with German Jews, he could have deported them all. I feel a greater Germany and living space were just pretexts.
I think it's true as well, that he felt that mobilization for war would help him consolidate his power. Hitler was politically astute enough to know that he was big in '36, but that he couldn't really deliver on his peacetime promises to the German people. Going to war gave enabled him to liquidate his German opponents, and tell everyone they would just have to wait for that car etc. he promised them. The fact is, he expected the UK to capitulate and that his army would easily defeat the Soviet Union. I doubt that total warfare was part of his original plan.

Two reasons. The first was to reunite the German speaking peoples of Europe. The second was to give the German people space to live in.
