I have heard that if you eat or do certain things then you are more likely to get a girl instead of a boy or vice versa. Do you know any ways to try for a girl? Thanks!

USMC WIFE is quite correct! You can follow that advise. You can also check on the net or with your doctor to see whether an acid or alchaline enviroment is advantageous to female sperm -- You can then douche with either vinegar or baking soda the day before you have intercourse or very early the day of, should be 8hours between douche and sex.
But there is an ABSOLUTELY (95%) ACCURATE WAY. yOUR GYNO WILL HAVE TO DO IT & YOU MAY FIND INFO ON THE NET, BUT THEY CAN SEPARATE THE MALE & FEMALE SPERM!!! I wish to God this had been around when I was having babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'da put the procedure on a CC if I'd had to to afford it -- may not be that expensive today. It was invented in the 80s, so it may be reasonable now. If your doc wont help -- call all the gynos in your area -- someone will help you. BEST WISHES !!!
A son's a son til he takes a wife, a daughter's a daughter for ALL OF HER LIFE !!!!!
If this answers your Q. best, please vote for my answer. Thank you !!! Hope to see fotos of that girl one day !!!!

i definately do NOT agree with the first post...

start charting your temperature here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com

it will help you pin point your ovulation date. Then what you want to do (and trust me! I'm a mommy of two girls now :) woo hoo)

you want to have sex two to three days BEFORE your Ovulation date. You do not want to have sex the day before or the day of your ovulation because boy sperm swim faster than girl sperm; they however don't live as long. So if you have sex a couple days before than the boys aren't around to fertilize the egg, and the girls can take their time swimmin' up there.

You are going to want to chart a couple of cycles to pinpoint your ovulation date before you try....

good luck and feel free to ask if you have ANY questions. The web site I linked has excellent women who help with all aspects of trying to conceive. The message boards even have a group for ppl trying to conceive a certain gender by using charting

There is not guarentee you will have what ever gender baby you decide, regardless of what day in ovulation, or what crazy sexual position you do. The only thing you can do is hope, but in the end, it doesn't matter what sex it is, just that the baby is healthy, you will love it all the same regardless of the sex.

On some ovulation calendars, if you have sex 4-5 days before ovulation it will increase your chances of having a girl!! They also say that if a man does all the work during sex, it increases your chances!! It mainly depends on the male's genes and what GOD wants you to have!! You can always try for another one or adopt!!!

i don't think you have a choice on what gender your child will be yet. I was taught in biology in high school that the mans sperm and genetic makeup determins what gender the baby will be.
