Both. I wake up all the time on my own. About 5-10 times a night. I call it crappy sleeping. The only time I feel like I get rest is when I wake up a 6am and fall back asleep until 630 when my alarm goes off. ugghhhh

Oh yes, especially before a trip like if I have to catch an early flight - can't sleep anyways, just out of excitement! Most people are able to if they keep a regular sleep schedule. Your body will learn to be awake at that time. You ever wake up on a saturday at your normal monday to friday wakeup time? Happens to me all the time.

Yep, just about all the time. I work 2nd shift, so I do not need to be up at a certain time. If I have to get up, then the alarm usually has to get me up, but sometimes I can wake up before the alarm.
