You thought making money was going to make you happy, and now you have found out that was wrong.

Not making money isn't going to help that.

What really will help is for you to realize that happiness is all up to you. You have to decide to be happy, and nobody can do that for you.

You are able to remain rich and quit being sad. You have to work at that. You might be depressed; ask your doctor. Clinical depression has nothing to do with circumstances, it is a chemical problem. Maybe you need medication.

Find a hobby that makes you want to get up every day and look forward to coming home from work. Find a way to help others less fortunate than yourself and share the money that isn't making you happy. You might find that helping others will make you happy.

Heb 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have

Money itself can create both happiness and unhappiness, but loving the money always results in unhappiness. Simply learn that lasting happiness cannot come from money.

By the way, don't believe the person above who says you are depressed; if you believe that you might try to solve the problem with money, which would be an oxymoron.

Firstly, is the money-making the reason for all your unhappiness??
If it is, then i'd suggest you go for something that you really enjoy doing and make you happy then...if it isn't, why risk being poor AND sad?

Although money may not actually BRING happiness, it helps to have money and sometimes happiness can be ruined BECAUSE of money. Set your priorities right and try to do what will make you happy, with money to complement that happiness.

oh, btw, why are you sad?

I have the answer you are looking for.

You are sad because you have a lot of money, but have no meaning in your life. Therefore, you should give me all your money - I will spend it wisely for you. In the mean time, you should join the Peace Corps, and go on an aid mission to South Africa.

You see, money can not buy you happiness. But I am already happy, so I can use your money for other stuff! Volunteering your time to a worthy cause will bring meaning to your life, and that will bring you happiness. It's so simple it's beautiful.

Happiness is the purpose of life. I don't think you should quit, but maybe you can re-evaluate your position with the company. Is there a less demanding job you can take that would be more rewarding? Believe me, I was in a similar situation and although the money was good, my home life was miserable. The stress and hours wreaked havoc on my relationships. With a reality slap, I changed courses in my career and, VOILA, happiness followed. See if you can find a better fit where your talents are needed, and, in turn, your importance is redefined.

No sense in being rish and unhappy. Better to be happy than anything, but if you can be rich and happy all the better.

Maybe you should figure out why you are really sad before you quit though.

Happiness.

I left a great job that I was happy in for another job that offered double. I was miserable there because the new boss was a @$$.

When my old company made a counter offer, I jumped at the opportunity and am happy now, even though the money is not the same.

Happiness will make u live longer. I guess money could buy you better doctors on the other hand. The areas of Canada with the most money, where I live, are also highest in depression. It's hands down for leaning towards happiness for me honey.

If you think your money is making you unhappy, I'd be happy to help by taking it off your hands. Being rich and unhappy is better than being poor and unhappy.
