Hi! I'll assume that you were born in 1971. LOL!

Racism was a part of Southern culture for a long time. My school was finally desegregated in 1971. We grew up beside, ( I don't know what term to use. They were black and we were white) black children.

There were racially charged incidents during school, but at our 20-year reunion, there were no problems. In this part of the South, we are fully intagrated.

Old white folks love to meet and talk to their black counterparts. Aside from the usual teen-age tensions, we don't have race problems, at any age.

The 1971 date is false. I was born in 1965, and folks much older than me, treat all the people they meet the same.

Racists do exist, but they are outside of our Southern culture. They exist in every state, and very few of them are centered in the South.

Yes, the older someone is, the more likely he is to have become wise and knowledgeable, and so therefore the more likely he is to be a racist. For the most part.

Racists are not born. They are created by hatred and ignorance.

yes. so hopefully that means racism will just fade out with their generation. : ) Or atleast someday, if we teach our kids not to be ignorant then they will teach they're kids, and so on. Eventually racism will be a thing of the past. I doubt I will be alive to see it, but you never know.
