I don't know if it will be a sweep, but it won't go more than four games. Statistically, the Tigers pitching is better, but that was mostly because of their great first half. Verlander has hit the wall, and is very hittable, Robertson has no success against the Yankees this year, and Kenny Rogers has proven time and time again that he cannot pitch in a big game. He will be lit up again when he faces the Yanks. Most importantly, Rivera is rested and healthy. The Yankees beat the Tigers 5 out of 7 this season. The first win was when the Yanks won 3 of 4 in May, and Rivera's back locked up on him, and Farnsworth gave it up. The only other win was in August, when Rivera pitched two innings the day before, didn't pitch, and Proctor gave up a home run to Monroe. The Tigers have some power, but they strike out a TON, and don't have much speed.
Also, the Yankees are loaded. They finally have their regular line up healthy this week, even though they rested most of them this weekend. Cano, the nine-hitter, hit over .340 this year, and everyone else is heating up. This could get ugly for the Tigers.

Seeing how the season ended for the tigers is not insane to think that they could be sweep right out of the playoff if they are not the Yankees will win it 3 - 1. As far as the others the only team that compares to the Yankees are the Mets and as much that I goin to hate to admite this they don't have the pitching for the Yankees but I still pick them for the World Series.

Nope. The Yankees are always a threat, but come on people. They're not invincible. They only have a few regular season wins more compared to the Tigers, and even though the Tigers have stunk against the Yanks this year, the regular season is null and void. It'll be tough, but this series is not a given for the Yankees by any stretch.

I don't think it'll be a sweep the Tigers might get 1 but the hitting from the Yankees is to strong it dosen't mater what pitching they got.

Well, I'm not sure about a sweep, but the Yanks will win. They're 5-2 against the Tigers when they were hot... having just lost 5 straight and letting the pennant slip through their fingers I think it's safe to say the Tigers are not hot right now. Add to that the fact that they have NO postseason experience, and the insane lineup the Yanks have, then think about Wang & Mussina, I don't see any other result but the Yanks advancing to the ALCS.

I don't know about a sweep but I'd say Yanks in 4. Then The Yanks sweep against a tired Twins team. Coast to coast series catches up with you.
