I totally dislike the Congressional Republicans but...
I wonder if people are more scandalized by this because the page was male. It has always been a running joke in Washington about Congressmen and prostitutes. But because this is a gay flirtation, will the press and politicians handle it differently.
I think it's going to be covered up, like the $100s of millions of dollars that disappeared into Iraq last year.

I think so except for the voters in his district.

Right wing talk radio and Fox News would never let this story die down if Foley was a Democrat.

As of today the "cover up" begins.

He's admitting himself into an alcohol rehab in an attempt to cover up the pedophilia with a drinking problem.

His supporters will say, "he's just got a drinking problem that caused him to do things he never would have done otherwise".

I say bu!!sh:t

If anything, the alcohol just gave him more courage to act out his fantasies.

It will be interesting to see where this goes.

That sicko deserves a serious punishment. A politician in an authoritive position sending sexually exlicit messages to an underage boy?? I need a big whip and let me at him.

Just like every other reboob scandal that has come up over the last few weeks. You see it once and never hear about it again.

Foley has those conservative "values" that they're always trying to brag about.

I believe conservatives prefer to call it "mentoring" though.
