4/17 is a proper fraction because the numerator is smaller than the denominator.

15/2 and 11/10 are improper fractions because the numerators and larger than the denominators.

6/6 just means/equals to 1, and it's not a fraction actually.

A proper fraction is a fraction p/q with p,q>0 such that p/q<1. A fraction p/q>1 is called an improper fraction.

so 15/2 > 1 : Improper
6/6 = 1 : Not a fraction
4/17 : Proper!
11/10 > 1 : Improper
