Don't look anyone in the eye. Look around the room, but focus on the top of their heads, not on the eyes. Smile. Breath between sentences so that your voice is controlled and not rushed. Believe what you are saying so that you sound convicted and not rehearsed. And then imagine that everyone in the audience is naked. If that doesn't put you at ease, then nothing will.

Dont get too over-excited. Getting nervous is natural but dont let it overwhelm you. Just stay focused on your piece and be as natural as you are. Trying to be "better than before" can make you more nervous, and it makes the audience become nervous looking at you being nervous...get it? The thing here is you have to master your piece of speech so that the audience would understand it well while you deliver it with modulated, relaxed voice and with composure. Be brave. You know your piece more than most audience do.

video tape yourself giving the speech, from the point of view of your audience, than go over the tape several times and correct the mannerisms you don't like in you. Rehears few times and than just go for it. Try to be yourself, find a supportive face in the audience to focus on or just look at a point at the back of the room. Soon it will be over and you'll ask yourself why were you so stressed about :)

Breathe. Breathe deeply before you start speaking and remember to breathe during your speech.
Smile. Fill your face with a smile and you will fool yourself into confidence.

the only advice i can give you is to practice in front of family and friends, know your material and when talking, I find it's easier to look at a wall instead of the people.

hope that helps =]

DO NOT IMAGINE PEOPLE IN THEIR UNDERWEAR! (CONTRARY TO POPULAR SAYING) just dont worry about it. memorize as much as possible, you dont want to be looking at note cards the hole time. and also see if u can get a podium to stand behind, it kinda feels like you are shielded and not totally exposed. ya know? good luck!
