If you are a mature fan that doesn't think it is real (like you stated), don't let any child under the age of 13 watch (because of the gratuitous T's and A'S), then I don't think wrestling fans are idiots.
However, since the MAJORITY of the fans here are such as you said, "name-calling, stupid posts, bad grammar and spelling by all the wrestling "fans" " then I have no choice but to roll my eyes and ignore their postings.

I am the biggest wrestling fan I know, and I know quite a few fans. None of them are "dim-witted" and neither am I. I love wrestling to death and I have a lot of respect and appreciation for these wrestlers who are on the road 300 days a year and risk their lives and careers to entertain the fans.(I know some don't care about the fans, but I know a lot do). Yes, wrestling is "fake" (in quotations because injuries occur quite often and things from real life are sometimes incorporated into storylines), but I still watch it and if I am going to be called an idiot for doing so, then I am going to call all the people who watch "House" idiots because IT is fake. Hugh Laurie is not a doctor, he just plays one on TV and his American accent is FAKE- he's British. In the same way, John Cena is not really a thug, he just plays one on TV, so wrestling haters, stop being hypocritical, because all the other shows we watch are just as fake, if not more.

Before I answer you I'm going to say something to I bangged your momma guy don't take on Cena, heck I'm not a big Cena's fan myself but even I know that not everything is Cena's fault, get a life then come answer. As far as the question goes is really a matter of opinions people talk about everyone it doesn't matter if they are baseball fans, basketball fans or NASCAR fans they have to think that some fans have to be idiots and it really don't matter what sport it is they just think like that is like wrestling can think that boxing fans are stupid simply because they like to see puncjing each other around.

I watch it , But I'm Not a Idiot. I have a Full Time Job , a great job i must say. I know it's Fake .. But so is all the Wonderful shows that people Drool over .. examples .. Everybody Loves Ray, Lost , Grays Anatomy. etc. I Find Football stupid an childish .. but i dont go spouting off that all Football Fans are stupid Pig headed men ....

I don't think wrestling fans are idiots. I just hate wrestling today. It's too showy and commercial. I love the stuff from the 60's, 70's and early 80's. Even though we knew much of it was fake, it was just two guys getting in the ring and slugging it out. Today it's much more acrobatic and outrageous with overly "colorful" characters.

People are always going to bash what they don't take the time to look at and understand. I don't get golf, Nascar or tennis but I'm not going to call fans of it stupid or say it's a waste of time. If you look at the average wrestler and tell me that they aren't an athlete you're crazy. Not to mention it's called "Sports Entertainment" not "Professional Wrestling" now. People are still thinking about back in the day when there was less focus on the entertainment part and just won't look past that.

Because they ARE silly idiots. To tell tou the truth, even i was a fan cause of cena 'n' DX.But now when i know that all that crap is fake i've hateed it. Most of the people think that wrestling is real. And some know that its fake but they act as if there fans cause its a trend nowadays. The whole school of mine is a dieheart of wweand tna. 'n' by the way. v use bad grammer to act zif we are super cool.

Wrestling is next best to Bloodsports and and extreme version of the opera. Wrestling fans like to see men being men. Wrestling fan are grossly misunderstood by people without drive to conquer obstacle in life.

wrestling may not be real but that is no reason to insult there fans.I salute every wrestling fan in the yahoo answers.And they make a lot of money every day.Which means Nearly all of the worlds cool people which i know many of you are enjoy wrestling.Or in other words say that in front of a wrestling fan and i will give you a million bucks.

Look, it is sports entertainment for the people who dont know about this etc. Of course we think that wrestling is real, i mean, of course i think wrestling is real, just not WWE wrestling or TNA wrestling. I think high school wrestling is real big time. Well its true.. It depends how you want to put it.. Anyway, i do agree with you and they should keep their comments to theirselves!
