How can I put a picture as a caption. Like, instead of my caption being a caption, it's a picture?

Also, how can I make a .gif file? I dont have know how, and don't have photoshop. Is there a free way?

Very Simple. First you have to host the picture. Make sure you save the picture onto your computer, save it under a simple name so that when you host it the address isn't too large. (Please see the hosting site listed in my source section) Source the picture on image shack, and then use this code to post it in the caption area when you go to edit your profile......

(you put the hosted url that image shack creates in between the quotation marks. and the < > signs are very important so don't forget them or the code will not work.)

Then save it, and you are done.

If you are talking about an actual picture of yourself or someone else etc, you may want to make the picture smaller. I found that the program irfanview is the best one and it's very simple to use. It's free as well! Go to downloads dot com and type in the software name and it will allow you to download for free(Make sure you scroll a little, you do not want to download from another site, you want to download it from downloads.com). Once you have it, just open the picture, open it with the program, go to the very top and click on the drop down that says image, then go down and select "resize/resample image" and it will pull up an adjustment screen. On the far bottom left of this pop up you will see a little box that says "Preserve aspect ratio"". Make sure this box is unchecked. Then go ahead and enter your pixels, 100/100 is pretty good. Then when you are done resizing the picture or whatever, go to File at the top, then save as, and you can save it as a .gif file, a jpeg, whatever you want. When the save as pops up, there will be a drop down right under that says "save as type"..... you'll see it!

You can also go to Photo Bucket, and search through the avatars and pictures, click on the one you like, and it should have a url underneath it. Best of luck! ♣
