Yes. You can Crochet Lace. You use what is called a Bedspread Weight Cotton and a Steel Hook, usually a 7. I would refer to whatever pattern I was using. I'm Sorry I don't have mine with me right now but It can be done, this Southern Girl knows that for a fact.

yes! there are all kinds of books and booklets on crocheted lace. Here's one to get your started but putting in a search for free crochet lace or patterns will get you lots of hits.
http://www.craftown.com/crochet.htm You might also look up tatting...which is lace made by knotting..true old fashion lace. You can find books and booklets on that too...go to your craft stores inthe yarn department, they usually have different booklets there.

Then that would be called crochet, not lace. The fabrics and threads are too different to mesh.

It's called tatting and yes you can. Your local fabric/craft/yarn shop should have books on the subject or contact your local library. It's a very ancient art.

yes requires a small needle but it is doable, and you can get instructions online but most places like fabric stores sell little book with all kinds of diff types you can krochet
