I think that is true because "Customer Care" is just a name of certain division in many companies or organisations while, on the other hand, "caring about the customer" is a specific culture of some good companies or organisations. A company that have Customer Care division is not neccesarily do care about the customer. I suppose, at least based on my experiences.

Because most of the time, they aren't paid well enough to put up with the crap they must endure from staff, management, and customers. They also have their hands tied on what they can and can't do. They have to follow policies and procedures and sometimes that just goes against what the customer needs or wants. It really doesn't matter what business it is....it is all difficult.

The people we are talk to are typically not making very much money, don't get any support from their companies, and are most likely just working to make ends meet at home. They probably don't actually care about the people calling in, and also can't do much out of company policy to help you out anyway. They are just as frustrated as you, they have to deal with that company every day.

Wish them luck.

Simple, because a customer care assistant gets paid maybe $7.00 an hour, is about 16-17 and doesn't care. :)
