Not neccessarily sexually but I found it interesting my six year old cousin decided to look in a magazine with me. When I was 6 I was able to say who I felt was cute and who I felt wasn't. Well I went through the pages, ALL of the women were cute, none of the guys were. I thought I'd get some more and see about this and it was the same. It doesn't bother me, it just amazed me. Does this say anything about maybe her preference in the future? Or is it more to where this comes from?

I know that when I was 6, I knew what I wanted.

If you are worried about your cousin becoming attracted to females in the future, "test" her. Over the time span of a month or so, or as you see fit (as her "phases" change) ask her to look at another magazine with you. See if she does the same thing. Take her out and point out guys and boys her age to her. See how she reacts. This should give you a better idea either way. Don't be worried if she does end up becoming attracted to the same sex, as for alot of people that start "liking" the same sex at a young age, it is merely just a phase. I am bisexual, and my mother, all my aunts and even my little sister has admitted to going through that stage at one point and time. It's very natural for her to be curious.

If this does worry you, try to ease her in the opposite direction. Introduce her to boys her age, if possible. Buy her a pretty dress, or take her out to see a "chick flick."

I hope my answer has helped you. Good luck!

Sounds completely normal for two reasons: First most magazine make females look cute or hot to sell clothes, and males most likely hot. Not sure don't look very closely at males, so if correct younger cousin might not have felt comfortable discussing her true feeling. Let it drop because if you do not, then you should seek help.

When I was six guys had cooties and I would have never EVER admitted to thinking one was cute. Once your cousin hits puberty, she'll probably be a little more interested.

I don't think a six year old can tell who is cute or not, maybe you had a special gift when you were six. You will find she even might think Mickey Mouse is cute if his picture was there, don't worry about it

I dont think it has ANYthing to do with her sexual preference...she's 6.
I think a lot of girls are cuter than guys and Im not a lesbian...Ive just seen nicer dressed woman, beautiful hair, cute clothes, etc. I just like certain traits about them.

I don't think you can really tell until shes older. But I started to like boys when i was like 4 or 5. Don't worry about it until shes like 10 maybe 11 or 12. If she doesn't like boys by then, then you could worry a bit.

Probably not. I mean, at that age, they're still more concerned about cooties and the like so she may not want to point out the guys because of that, or some other childish reason. God, I miss being young....lol

I think it might be because she's only six. She might still be only into barbies and stuff like that. Give it time and she might start paying attention to guys too.

:)

At age six, would you rather she be thinking and saying, "Wow that guy is hot, , I would totally do him?" lol She's a little kid for cripes sake. Why should she be into boys yet?
