I'm NOT a liberal and I will be honest with you about this. Conservatives (like me) do the same thing.
I wish that we'd stop pointing fingers and saying that all __________ are __________ and so forth. Both sides have problems and both sides have strong points. People are people regardless of your political beliefs.
