The Bears are the real deal! They've finally found some offense to go with that always stingy defense. A running game that remains a constant of the Bears, with Jones, and Benson. And now Grossman with a new found confidence in his abilities as well as his receivers too. Damn, these are ingredients to a Championship team. 37-6! Against a sea-hawks team that prides themselves on defense. Giving up 37 points says they were out-matched tonight, both physically and mentally. Although the sea-hawks were without Alexander, that doesn't mean the Sea-hawks have no chance whatsoever to win the game. Hasselback is coming of a 5TD night last week against the Giants. However, the Bears looked really good tonight, and if they keep this up, they will most definitely rival the Colts for the best team in the league.

Bottom line, they are sick. They made it to the playoffs last year with zero offense. Look what Grossman has done, and in turn his poassing is opening up the run, no longer having 8 & 9 guys in the box. They have a great D and their offense has scored more than any other team with the exception of the colts, who have only scored 5 more point. Difference being, their D has only given up 23 to the Colts 87. The key is Grossman's health, and even if he gets hurt they now have a capable backup in Griese. This is the year for a Chi-town Super Bowl win... write that down!

I'm from Chicago so my opinion is biased - but I agree the Bears might actually be for real. Finally.

We posted the same question a couple of minutes apart. I agree with you, they look to be for real. Sure they were supposed to beat the Packers but it wasn't expected to be a shut out. Then they beat the Lions as they were supposed to, but a blowout wasn't predicted. Minnesota had a surprisingly good defense but Grossman did what he had to do. This week they killed last years NFC champ. I'm thinking real.
Damn, this is fun. Da Bears!

Yes, they are for real. The season doesn't end in October, so they need to get their running game in gear and keep everyone healthy for the duration.

It's pretty scary to think what they can accomplish this year with a legit QB, since last year they got a first round bye with an unworthy rookie taking the snaps.
