I believe Rozeram is a non-narcotic sleep medication involving Melatonin somehow and it is not a time released formula. Yes, It's true that if you chew an Ambien CR you would get the entire contents all at once. However, receiving that much Ambien is not that much above 10mg's anyway so it wouldn't be anywhere near lethal.

No you should not crush or cut any controlled release tablet like Ambien CR. Because it is designed to be released over a period of time if you do crush or cut it you would be getting the full dose at once. I am not familiar with the other med.
