Once diagnosed with breast cancer it's advisable not to get pregnant while receiving chemotherapy. If you do desire to have children make sure your doctor is aware of this. Many breast cancer treatments throw a woman into menopause. Their periods stop and may or may not resume. A regimen to protect your fertility may be available. You need some serious one on one counseling appropriate for your diagnosis and treatment. Please talk to your doctor or nurse.

Uh, your breasts have absolutely nothing at all whatsoever to do with your uterus, so if we're talking pre-treatment, absolutely.

If you are asking if you can become pregnant while on radiation or chemotherapy - I'm not sure if it is possible but I do know that if it did manage to happen then that baby would be in biiig trouble. Cancer drugs can be fatal to the patient - imagine what they'd do to a developing fetus!

I don't know why not. I know they say you can't get pregnant if you r breast feed but I have a relative that can tell you that is not true. she has 8 children all less than a year apart and breast fed them all.

I have never heard of any reason why you couldn't, even though I can figure a few why a person shouldn't until they have a clean bill of health.

I am sorry if you are in that situation, or someone you know is.

Well of course you can. Why would you think breast cancer would or could prevent you from getting pregnant?
