I can walk and balance just fine in high heels, but with stilettos, when I walk heel-toe, the heel gets scraped to nothing in one wearing. What am I doing wrong? The heel catches on the pavement, bends a little, and makes a horrible scraping noise. Is my stride too long? Height doesn't seem to make a difference -- 4", kitten heel, you name it, if it's got a tiny point on the bottom, that point is gone before you can say hey presto. I do walk a lot on city sidewalks ... do I have to give up on pointy heels?

There are things a shoe repair shop can put on the heels to make they more durable. Try the yellow pages wherever you live and look for shoe repair. Tell the person there what your prob is and they can put, I think they call em 'taps' on them. I had a pair from the 50's that I had to have done and they lasted a long time.

Partly since they desire to face out however usually since society pressures ladies into doing those matters. You can say you do not think any stress however in case you did not think any stress, you would not shave your legs and so forth. Some ladies believe that to be beautiful, they have got to put on tall heels just like the items put on. If they do not then they think that they could also be seemed down upon. They declare it makes them think extra constructive which I believe might be it could on the grounds that you think taller (although you are now not so much use whilst you are wobbling in all places the situation). They're seeking to make themselves think well approximately themselves by way of giving in to the stress.

My vote is that we make the city planners wear stilettos. Dollars to donuts those same planners are men. Cobbled pavements look nice, but are shoe & ankle killers!

My solution has been to stick to jeans & casual shoes as much as possible.

Sorry, I don't have a practical answer for you, but I'll be watching this question with avid interest cos I'm sick of re-healing MY shoes.

Using stilletos looks great & sexy....All you've to do is to put all your weigth on your heels,... i mean walk or stride with your steps carefully using the heels first...then balance to the end of your toes, it should not be using the toes first then to the heels, try it...

Yes, the city streets can be rough on heels. Maybe you can carry them in a cute tote bag and change once you get to your destination.

Save the stilettos for when you are sitting. I don't think they are made for walking.
