I bought a baby dish that has rubber suction on the bottom to stick on to the high chair tray so baby can't spill it over, but water on the bottom doesn't keep it stuck. Any suggestions?

get all the air out of it, try petroleum jelly in order... to make it easier to push it down..

Ok first of all do NOT use petrolium jelly or better know as Vaseline, it will destroy the rubber and make it hard and brittle.
Licking it may seem like a good idea but do you know how dirty a persons mouth is, it's full of bacteria!(germs)
and water will only hold the suction as long as there is moisture present, in otherwords as soon as the water evaporates the suction lets go! Try using dish soap, just a drop on the suction cup itself will do the trick! and soap takes longer to evaporate.
So just a pea sized amount of soap and a few drops of water.
Good luck & God bless

I used to have the same problem until I figured it out. Just put a few drops of water on the high chair tray and it will stick quite nicely. Sometimes too well. Good luck.

It is possible that the suction cups themselves are a bit deformed, causing them to let in air underneath. If that is the case, you won't be able to get them to stick no matter what you do. In this case, just replace the suction cups themselves.

When I have to use suction cups, I always lick them despite how gross that is. Works like a charm.
