community service?

to be blunt, i need more things to add to my college application.

any ideas for outside of school programs? I live in NYC so any NYC-based programs would be best.

If you have never done community service, do not lie about it. It could come back to haunt you, i.e., someone may be familiar with the organization, you write on your application If you are questioned about it, and and can't answer questions, it may do more harm, than value, to your application. You can say, you always donate blood during a Blood Drive!
