Get a water softner. They make 'em that'll install at the well pump or in line behind the washer. Clothes will get cleaner too! btw I love your froggy! Good luck

You could try a filter. I have a well, and while I never noticed it with the clothes, drinking water tasted slightly mineraly/metallic. We put a whole house filtration system on, hooked it up so that the water passes through before it ever gets to the bladder tank. It really helped alot, and isn't too expensive.

That is a really good question. We also have well water and I hate it! I have tried everything to get that smell out of every where in this house, especially the laundry. Nothings really worked. I even tried that Oxy Clean stuff. The only way of truly getting rid of it I'm afraid is getting a water softener put in. We had one, but it stopped working awhile back, and I haven't been able to get my step-dad, who owns this house to replace it yet. I'm sorry that I couldn't help more. Good luck!

I have well water at the lake and haven't noticed a smell in our clothes. I use a fabric softener and our clothes smell like that. Maybe you could try the new Tide with Fabreez? I have heard good things about this product. I wish you luck!

I have hard well water and put baking soda and vinegar in the water. It helps some and makes the clothes cleaner.

I have well water as well. There is no amount of detergent or dryer sheets you can use to take it away. It sounds like this just started... check the filter on the well pump. You may need to replace it.

Three things I swear by: Oxy clean, White Vinegar in your rinse (when you would add Fabric Softener) and Iron Out (for whites).
