"Ferris Beullers Day Off" is one of my all time favourites.
"Bend it Like Beckham" is a good one too.

Scary movies---
The original Exorsist( starring Linda Blair)
The 1968 version of The Night of the Living Dead
Any movie with a zombie in it---Livng Dead, Day of the Dead, etc.
Romantic Movies--- My favorite three are Ghost, Armagedon, and
A Walk in the Clouds
Musical movie or dancing/music---My favorite four are----Grease 1&2, Dirty Dancing and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights
Comedy---Too many to say But any movies with Jim Carrey, Mike Meyers, Dana Carvey(WAYNE's WORLD), etc.
Drama/Historically based----The Color Purple, Roots, Gone WIth the Wind, and Gettysburg

Dawn of the Dead (New version)
House of 1000 Corpses
Evil Dead (Hah , its just funny)
Shaun of the Dead(even funnier in a zombified kinda way)
Saw 1 (I find it Original)

Pulp Fiction-It was a great movie. It has great music in it. It is just good very entertaining.
Rosemarys Baby Good movie, scary at times, good story, suspensful.
The Exorcist very scary, but good.

The Squid & The Whale was a very, very decent newer movie. Jeff Daniels is hilarious.

as good as it gets - funny but not the usual kind
office space - cult classic comedy
the notebook - very romantic
the green mile - very good, drama
forest gump - it has everything
casablanca - old times classic, the best!
my big fat greek wedding - super funny, not hollywood style (which is a good thing)

The Shawshank Redemption. The characters are very clever, it keeps you interested the whole time, it makes you laugh, and cry.
