I'm going to the public library tomorrow, and I usually come up with a list of books, so I can just go & breeze through, and pick the books I know I want.

So, does anyone have good ones?

I love genres like realistic fiction, suspense.

But mostly, stuff like daily high school life, drug addictions, books like Cut.

I'd appreciate the help. :]

Try a few books from Charles De Lint. There's a good one he wrote called "The Blue Girl" that I think would probably be right up your alley. Try that one first and if you like it, go for his Newford Series next, they're really good too, but the characters are slightly older.

try the set by Tamora Pierce, she is really good. The Protecter of the small set is close to realistic fiction.
