My internet company said to try spyware which I did. This did not help. My computer was doing fine and one day it just slowed down. Why does this happen. HELP Please

There can be various reasons for a slow computer and various solutions.
1) Search for any free registery mechanic or download a trail version and try that.
2) Increasing the amount of RAM will obviously helps but that may be a costly solution as it leads to change in hardware configuration.
3) be sure to scan your computer with a virus scan and a spyware scan. You can easily get both of them free by searching in the net.
4) You can view the services which start automatically when your computer starts by typing MSCONFIG on the command prompt. You can stop the unuseful services.
5) Finally, if all else fails, format the C drive of your computer and reinstall windows.

REBOOT everything, computer,,, modem!!!!!! Unplug everything..Then restart.
There are several factors that can make a computer run slow.
Viruses
Too much protection, like the Internet company's software,,,, your installed software for spy ware. Two different virus protectors running at the same time etc. Not good for your computer to do double duty!PICK ONE!!

Get more memory maybe? Compress old files. Remove spyware.

well what you could do is get a better anti-spyware or if speed is just your problem you might want to get speed hack, not all hacks are bad dude but u need to buy it to a trusted site

Someone told me to get another RAM card and it helped. It made my games load up faster and there was way less lag. (I know NOTHING about computers though). Good luck with that.

delete old files that aren't being used or you could get more ram or a better processor if you downloaded some thing right before you could of gotten a virus
