Well, first of all, that's considered harrassment. You can actually report him and by law, they cannot fire you for being harrassed. Or, you can simply approach him by letting him know that he's going a little too far by telling him he's stepping over the line and that you came there to work, not get made fun of. If you've tried that and it didn't work, report him. Let your boss know what is going on and it's making you uncomfortable at work and it inteferes with your ability to do your job and do it well and that something needs to be done about his behavior. Your boss will help you and if he doesn't, get someone above him, and if all else fails, take it to the police if nothing is done about it. Harrassment is something that comes in all forms and is something that can be fixed in a mature way(unlike your coworker) and can cause you to stay out of harm's way.

He sounds like a bully with low self esteem. I think the best thing for you to do is ignore him, but document dates and times and what he says to you. Once you have a few situations documented, go to your Human Resources department and ask for advice. No one should have to deal with a bully but especially in the workplace, where we should all be grown ups and act responsible. If possible get some of your friends to back you up with the Human Resources people as well, there also may be others at your company that are suffering from his abuse. Good Luck!

The guys who work for my husband are like a fraternity, always playing jokes on each other (not nice ones!), kidding around, calling each other names (not nice ones!)..... But they would have each others back in a heartbeat.
Maybe this guy is like that, but he's the only one there like that. Do you ever have a normal conversation with him? Have you asked him to stop? Have you told him that you really need your job & that you're afraid he's going to cause you to do something to him that might get you fired? Have you talked to your boss about him?
Good Luck. I hope it gets better for. I know you must dread going to work everyday because of this.
