My question is:

Can anyone name 8 ways a batter can reach base??? (Hint: Single, Double, Triple, Homerun are all consider 1 hit...)

The answer is:

8 - Strike out swinging (But a wild pitch)
7 - Walk
6 - Hit
5 - Hit By Pitch (HBP)
4 - Error
3 - Fielders' Choice
2 - Catcher's interfience
1 - **Rarely Happens but it is a rule** IF THE BATTER HIT THE BALL WITH 0 OR 1 OUT, AND HITS THE RUNNER, THE RUNNER IS OUT AND THE HITTER IS AWARDED TO FIRST BASE.

A batter can not attain first via being a pinch runner. a million) Hit 2) stroll 3) HBP 4) Fielder determination 5) errors 6) Strikeout (with a handed ball or wild pitch) 7) Catcher's Interference 8) Obstruction Catcher interference is whilst the catcher interferes with the batter in the process the swing An occasion of Obstruction is say the batter hits to the 1st baseman. The pitcher is going to conceal the backside yet gets in the way of the batter earlier he gets the ball. Ryan: real a handed ball and a wild pitch isn't a similar component yet in the two circumstances the BATTER struck out. so as a ways because of the fact the batter attaining first base then a strikeout w/wild pitch and a strikeout w/handed ball are a similar component. or you may desire to argue that a floor ball errors on the SS is distinctive than a fly ball errors on the CF.

You don't say what base so I am assuming any base.
1-Also steal a base,
2-If the next runner up hits a run or hr. you can move to the next base or more.
3-If you are on any of the bases except home and the batter flys out you can run after he completes the catch.( i guess this is stealing too.)

Why did you ask a question and then turn around and answer it? That makes no sense. But thanks for the 2 points!
