shinobi was the title bestowed on a particularly effective agent, presumably a samurai, of a certain diamyo.

I don't remember any names, but I'm sure it's online somewhere

yeah ninjas were definitely their own profession but remember that the feudal lords were certain to have retainers will the same skill sets. They'd have been fools not to.

Shinobi was a video game. Ninjas originated in fuedal period Japen I believe.

Samurais were the warrior class in feudal Japan. Ninjas were assassins in feudal Japan, and often died in their attacks. The two are not related as the one was a respected occupation and the other was not.
