my dad has been dating this girl for about a year and a half and hes never been happier. lately, though, shes changed the house to a girly-girl house (angels, candles, etc.) like she owns the place. my parents divorce papers say she can't move in 'til they're married, and my dad can barely afford dinner let alone a ring! he'd listen to rock and roll kind of music, but now he listens to love songs and old 70's music just like her! and worst of all, they fight all the time! my dads got a huge temper, and his girlfriend's a little (too much) sensitive. i cant tell them how i feel, because it'd ruin my dads 'best' relationship since my mom. plus, his girlfriends pretty nice and my sister is close to her daughter. what should i do about this?

pretty much what you are doing. i am a divorced, remarried, and now seperated lady, and my childrens father is remarried and divorced. i have watched all 3 of my children try to guide us in our relationships, and with all due respect to them, it doesnt work. not where affairs of the heart are concerned. he must learn from his own mistakes..no one can make up his mind for him..who knows...they may really be happy.

They fight all the time and this his your dad's 'best relationship?' You need to be up front with your dad and tell him how you feel. He will appreciate that you still feel comfortable talking to him about your thoughts and emotions.

So your Father wants to play Daddy and let gender run his palace eh!!
He must have loose screws.
If I were you, I would keep moving up the ladder and accompolish your goals so that your life will prevail...Daddy is making his bed and he will lay in it.

Blondie,

You are a 14 year old girl and naturally you are going to be overprotective of your Dad.

Let him be, he knows what is best for him.

Its none of your business, butt out. Your dad is an adult, and adults do not need their child's approval in their relationships.

you need to tell your dad how you feel this might be his best relationship but your his daughter and your thoughts should come first.
