I guess you could say son, dad, grand-dad. But all three of them are sons, so I guess if you said two fathers and AT LEAST two sons, it would be more correct. As worded, the "son-dad-grand-dad" answer would seem to violate your parameters.
Unless one of them is a clone or something. Or maybe one of the fathers used to be a woman and had a sex change. Although, I haven't completely thought through that particular contingency.
All fathers are sons, but not all sons are fathers.
Also you didn't say WHEN they wanted to do it. One or both of the fathers could bequeath some horses to someone else. But I guess they would still have to liquidate said property and then divide the profits equally.
Perhaps they could make a bunch of glue and dog food, then split THAT up evenly.

Bill is Bob's father. Bob is Jim's father. Bill is Jim's Grandfather. 2 fathers, 2 sons, 3 men- each man gets 7 horses.

one's a grandpa, one's a father, and one's the father's son. So really, there's two fathers, and two sons. Divide the horses by three, and each get seven.

One or more of the horses could be pregnant.
Or you could kill off one of the sons or fathers.
It couldn't be a grandfather, father, and son because technically all three of them are sons. You would of had to say two fathers and three sons. So having pregnant horses seems like the only option.

Each father gets seven head ,the two sons get to draw straws for either 3-4 head apeice splitting in essence the third third of seven head among each other by nearly half.
