I have always had mixed feelings about Valentines Day. It has become too commercialised and pressures people to spend money to show people that they love them. However, despite this, I do like to celebrate Valentine's Day.
For Valentine's Day, my husband donated flowers to an aged care facility on my behalf. All widowed ladies received a single flower.

Hard to beat a brand new car, but MY favorite was a sunrise champagne flight in a hot air balloon. Followed by a mad rush to the airport for a flight to Key West for the week. All a TOTAL suprise.
(good thing I am/was self employed so taking a week off was a non issue!)

nicely, the 1st valentine's day we spent mutually, he gave me not something. I comprehend that as we've been the two pupils at that component. as a result, he did not have the extra funds to purchase supplies for me. yet i think of that only being with him, status via his section, conserving palms, smiling at one yet another, hugging one yet another, understanding that he loves me and that i loves him are the final supplies ever. notwithstanding we've already broken up, those are the final memories that I ever had. it is not like cloth supplies which i will throw away in fits of anger and later sense sorry approximately it when I easily have cool down. it is a few thing that i will cherish despite if love do not exist between us anymore, some thing that often exist in my heart.

When I was in college, my freshman year I had just broken up with someone. My best guy friend knew that Valentine's Day was going to be tough, so he left a tiny stuffed leopard holding a chocolate rose in front of my door with a note that said "Hang in there, 'cuz I love you!"
