Ok, I am a Christian too, and because of this, I am suprised how ignorant and stubborn some of you are.
Many of you say something like how homosexuality is deception from the devil and "If you were a true Christian you would change your lifestyle" and the most surprising of all, MANY CHRISTIANS THINK THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS A CHOICE and that all homosexuals are satanic sex maniacs. ridiculous isn't it?
What would you say to an 11 year old homosexual?
Gays/ Lesbians are the same as any other heterosexuals.
But I sort of agree with the changing lifestyles. I think it's Ok if only two homos have a lasting and loving relationship like man and wife.
I am probably not in a place to talk about sexual stuff because I'm only 13.
To all ignorant Christians:
I hope you understand homosexuality before you quote the bible at us.
I can quote the bible at you saying that everyone on earth is going to hell.
Jesus came down to earth to save everyone from their sins, including Homos...

Btw I'm gay too.
And I think I'm just as kind/nice/honest/big a sinner than all of my friends.

To Pegacita:
To the lifestyle thing, yes some gays are attention seekers making out in public ( which I think is sick).
But many heteros do that too.
And if gays don't satisfy their sexual urges or whatever, they would be miserable their whole life and probably go crazy.
Which I think isn't God's intention for people.

Yes sometimes Homos twist the bible to fit their agenda.
But Heteros do that all the time to condemn and show their hatred towards all homos.

To 4gvn_snr:
I have to admit that I can't find a verse in the bible that says "You are like totally allowed to like have sex with like a person of the same sex"
However, can you name me a verse which says that lying/stealing/JUDGING is acceptable in god's eyes?
Yet everyone is doing that because it is simply part of human nature.
////
I know that we shouldn't dwell in our mistakes and must try to change or whatever, but do you know how much any homosexual would give to be straight?
I would cut off my hand if I could be straight.
My life isn't exactly a fairy tale. I had to grow up being teased and mocked by my friends for acting girly no matter where I go and sometimes even my father would make fun of me. It started when I was 5 years old and do you think that I was a satanic sex maniac when I was five years old and cause my whole life to be screwed up? That was and is just how I am and no matter how hard i try, I can't change! I'm just being myself.

But -- but -- but Jesus is only saving the STRAIGHT people... didn't you get the memo?
*LOL*
I think it's funny that people belive that all gays are going to hell.
Are all smokers going to hell? Certainly, they choose to smoke, and if they give themselves lung cancer and die in the process, haven't they blasphemed against God's temple (their bodies) and don't they deserve to go to hell?
And what about people that look at pornography? Aren't they all defiling God's holy word and are thus doomed to hell?
And everyone that eats bacon? The bible says that cloven footed animals are unclean. Are those that eat bacon and sausage headed south when they die because they partook?
Oh, and lets not forget those people that frequent fast food joints. They *choose* to put all those trans fats and crap into their bodies, so are they going to hell for their choices?
What makes choosing to be gay any worse that choosing to eat a Mickey D's hamburger? And, if it's within the confines of a monogomous relationship, what's the freaking harm in being gay, ANYWAY? Who are you hurting? No one. It's not like we need to be fruitful and multiply anymore (I think we've got that one covered), so is it really so terrible?
People just need to leave other people alone. Even if being gay is a choice, choosing to be gay is no worse than choosing to live in the city rather than the country, choosing to prefer the red curtains to the blue curtains, choosing to work at Company A, who gives the better benefits, rather than Company B, who pays a higher salary.
I'm not gay, but it makes me mad when people act like they know so much more about the lifestyle than those that are living it. If God is so hateful he would force people to give up someone that they love just because they happen to be of the same gender, then that's not a God I want. The Christians can have Him.

As a medical professional and a Christian there is intriguing research being done at the genetic level to determine if ones' sexual orientation is predetermined before birth. However, it seems that you imply that being a Christian and a PRACTICING homosexual are compatible. It also seems that you distinguish yourself from "ignorant Christians" and claim you can quote the Bible. I would challenge you to quote the Bible as in any way saying that practicing an immoral lifestyle is OK with God. On the other hand, if you are simply acknowledging that according to the Bible practicing a homosexual lifestyle is a sin but that it is no worse sin than any other and can be forgiven by a loving God, then right on. Amen.

SO, you're a 13 year old gay Christian.
I'm a 33 year old queer Christian woman.
As you've seen by now, you have a tough road ahead of you, hon.
Here are some resources for you:
"Is The Homosexual My Neighbour?" is a great book by Scanzoni and Mollenkott, though a bit academic.
www.whosoever.org
is a website for Queer Christians.
http://www.bridges-across.org/ba/campolo.htm
This is where you can find the transcript of a talk between Christian Sociologist Tony Campolo and his wife Peggy about homosexuality, and about what they agree on and disagree about it, both based on scripture.
Take care out there!

Well said, you're a very open minded person, a lot of the people here who completely scold and talk nasty stuff to all the homosexuals on this section are the ones that will be suffering for their hatred, I feel sorry for them. Keep speaking like this and more and more people will listen to what you have to say.

It's a lifestyle that you choose and a path you choose to take.
Don't need a Bible verse to tell you that.
It's not a requirement for survival like food, water & oxygen. It's impulse control.
