VOIP stands for voice over internet protocol. Cell phones work on an entirely different type of network. No go.

Your cell phone must be voip enabled or customized and more over it must be connected to wireless VOIP network, which is not stadardized yet.

vonage has WiFi cellphones which you are capable of being used anyplace with internet e.g starbucks...airports cost around 200buxs includes the phone and an phone number of your choice if your in the states. dont have to be your own state. Greatest tech invention my hubby has a vonage WiFi cell phone took him a few days to work it out but its up and running and Ihave the vonage router 2 phone port. We have access to each other 24/7 without the heavy phone charges just the basic monthly bill of 24$ a mth. (no charges for the calls) he is in TAMPA and I am in Sydney Australia

Tha is not possible, and if i am mistaken, then it will cost a fortune because you ALWAYS need to be connected to the net with VOiP.
