You should leave it alone. The only time I think anyone should get a fake tan (in a bed or using some lotion or spray) is if they have tan lines and want to camouflage, or something. If you're pale all over, you're going to have problems when you use the fake tan stuff, because it's not really meant to make entirely-pale people look darker all over. If this is your first time, you're probably going to end up orange and streaky, as most people do. And I'm guessing you don't want to look orange and streaky for your homecoming photos...

If you really really want to go for it, though, try some different self-tanning lotions or sprays from the store on parts of your body that are normally covered by clothing. A few weeks before homecoming, use the stuff on your stomach, and see how you like it. Otherwise, I'd say leave it alone.

I do airbrush tanning at a local salon. I am always over-booked when it comes time for prom, homecoming, and during the summer for weddings. I think everyone looks great with a little color, even guys. I may be partial because I do do this for a living. I have tried several solutions, for airbrush tanning, and I think the best are Norvell Ambersun and Aviva Labs-they look natural on anyone with no hint of orange or red color. Make sure if you get an airbrush tan that you exfoliate and shave the night before, make sure to exfoliate the dry parts of your body the most..such as hands, feet, knees, and elbows. Also, make sure you go in with your hair up off your neck and bring loose clothing to wear home. Tight clothing will rub your airbrush tan. I allow clients to get tanned however they feel comfortable...I have some clients who go nude and some who wear a tank top and shorts...if the back is out of your dress, make sure you get your tan done topless or ask for a disposable bra (it covers your breasts, but has thin elastic spaghetti straps that barely show). Wear flip flops- tennis shoes or anything you wear socks with will rub your tan off your feet while it dries. The Norvell needs to set for 8 hours and the Aviva Labs needs to set for 6 hours. After the setting time you can rinse- and make sure during the setting time that you don't sweat or wash your hand because it will take the tan right off before the initial rinse. It may sound complicated, but I think getting an airbrush tan done in one night beats tanning for 2 months for homecoming in a tanning bed! Hope this helps :-)

Leave it alone. Spray on tans and tanning lotion look too fake. Pale skin is elegant.

I am VERY pale also, but the sun is my enemy and I have come terms with that!!
You, being still in high school, probably have not.
I am always complimented when wearing red, I guess up against the pale complection it looks good. Maybe red will be a good color for you too.
The lotion tanners always come out blotchy, no matter how careful I am when using them.
Good Luck.

well whatever you do, please don't go to a tanning bed it can cause cancer, and it's really bad for your skin. If you really want a tan go for the spray, the lotion can get kinda streaky..but why don't you just go without a tan, your just gunna look the same anyways

I'm pale and it's fine by me. Don't worry about it, you'll feel better in 10-15 years when you don't have skin cancer. But if you really want to tan, go for it, just don't overdo it.

What's so wrong with not having a tan? One day you'll realize tan or no tan isn't really a problem.

being pale hasn't bothered Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johanssen, Karen Elson, and the list goes on... plus really pale girls look so gorgeous in red.
