Brown spotting typically means old blood that the body is just trying to get rid of, so unless there is a foul odor this is quite normal. If you became pregnant during a cycle you would initially miss a period, and implantation bleeding would occur. Implantation bleeding occurs a bit earlier than expected, and it is scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period, and does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light). If you feel you may be pregnant, your best bet is to wait at least two weeks after a missed period, and see your doctor for a blood pregnancy test as this is the most accurate way of testing.

Spotting around the time of your period is an indicator that you might have become pregnant. Use a home pregnancy test with your first morning pee and see what it says. You might have to repeat with a new test after a few days if you don't get a result right away.

This happens to a lot more people than you think. Especially teenagers. I've always had abnormal periods myself and still ended up getting pregnant, so I wouldn't worry about it. If it still concerns you, go to your doctor and talk to them about getting on birth control to help regulate your periods. Like I said, it especially pertains to teenagers, but usually your body doesn't become really "regular" until your mid 20's or so(granted every woman is diffrent ). I hope this helps!

It could be an indication that you're pregnant. Brownish spotting is old blood, not new blood. I'd definitely take a pregnancy test.

Possibly. Sometimes when the fertilized egg implants into the uterine wall there is a small amount of bleeding that can be brown. If it's time for your period to start, it's time for a test. Run to the store girl- and good luck to you and your hubby!
