I have never known anyone who has liked the results of these do-it-yourself ink things. Everyone always bitches that they leak ink everywhere.

It might be cheaper to buy the refill kit than a new cartridge, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. ;-)

Yes and no. It is much much cheaper, but I had a hard time getting consistent black prints. I hardly ever print stuff so it was a good deal. Just make sure if you buy it that you do the clean out the print cartridge thing.

I did this for awhile but the print cartridges eventually leaked through my printer and ruined my printer. I would not recommend filling your own cartridges.

I've never known anyone who tried them & didn't find them far less than adequate. So far, Jennifer has the best answer. It's basically penny wise & pound foolish. Also, your printer techs will tell you NOT to use them, & that isn't just so they can sell their own! Look what it did to Jennifer's! If you're on warranty, & your printer goes bonkers after you've used one, well--forget it.

Its cheaper except you need to have a short training to acquire the skill. Ink refilling is a substantial money earning business.

Sure it's cheaper to go that way, but you are going to get what you paid for. I don't think the quality is as good not to mention that it could spill or spray back on you and that's not a pretty site... I know.
