When I put my laptop on my lap it feels really warm. I know for men they say that it is not good. What about women?

Buy a lapdesk- the kind with the cushion underneath so it's comfortable on your lap. Mine even has a little slot to put your pen. It's so much more better that way.

It is not so bad for women, or men (except those that want to breed).
The reason why it is bad for males is because of their testicules. The testicules are "descended" from the male anatomy so they won't be subjected to the body's core temperature, which is damaging to them. In another words it is too hot for the sperm to develop well inside the body, so the testicules, which produce sperm, have to hang outside of the body where it is cooler.
Now you can see that if you put something warm like a laptop in a male’s lap it could get hot enough to reduce his sperm count or damage the sperm stored there. A woman doesn't have that problem. Her eggs are in her ovaries and are shielded inside the body. They can survive the body’s core temperature easily.
Sperm's vulnerability to heat also helps the woman's body, since if the sperm hangs around too long then the heat could kill it. The woman has other things going on as well that makes the area hostile to sperm, because the egg only wants one sperm to reach it and that has to be the best sperm in the batch and the female body only wants to fertilize one egg at a time. (Twins happen when either two eggs get fertilized or when one egg gets fertilized and divides—creating identical twins. While triplets are naturally possible, they are rare. Women that receive fertilizing treatment can produce so many babies because the conditions are made favorable to the sperm, or more than one fertilized egg is put into place.
Now if a woman is with child then the child could be affected, of course only in the early stages of its development; later the laptop won't fit in the woman's lap. So the only thing that a woman has to worry about is if the laptop gets hot enough to hurt their skin; which you will certainly, and quickly, know yourself.
A male can hold a hot laptop in their lap with only the same risk as well, but their sperm could be damaged and made infertile. Everything else will function normally; the sperm will still eject when the male climaxes, and the erection itself won't be changed, but some of that sperm won't be fertile or could be damaged. The damage caused by the hot laptop to the sperm will be overcome in a 2-4 weeks. Males remain fertile most of their lives so they can generate an endless stream of sperm. Therefore the effect is only temporary.
So the danger of having a laptop in your lap is only one for those males that want to breed. Therefore you can type on safely!

laptop on your lap. It probably is not as bad for men or women, as it is for the computer. Laptops should be used on a solid hard surface. Air vents and such should not be blocked.
Be sure to provide your laptop with good ventilation. If you MUST have it on your lap, then get a flat board, so that it sits flat on that surface, instead of being smothered.

It has been discovered that elevating the temperature of the male testes - even to a mild 105 degrees, destruction of sperm results. A laptop can raise the temperature of your groin area upwards of 125 degrees.
As for girls...I haven't heard of any scientific data stipulating that it's bad, other than your legs sweating, short circuiting the computer and giving you a hell of a burn.

It can burn your skin. At least get one of those cooling things that the laptops sit on if you use it for long periods.
