if there were different questions, questions that required thinking rather then just insults thrown back and forth, you would get more answers in the politics section?

I don't think people know how to have an intelligent discussion anymore. Whenever someone suggests an alternate point of view, the labels get thrown around, insults are hurled, something akin to pro wrestling but not intelligent discussion. Maybe the drugs of the 60's and 70's permanently brain damaged everybody and even the ones who didn't participate in that behavior caught the insanity by osmosis. I can't figure it out.

We've all become the shouting heads we see on TV. No one can have differing opinions, its all about insulting each others intelligence and patriotism. No wonder our leaders take advantage of this by feeding into this divisiveness, lets face it, right now we are in an untenable position and rather than looking for a way out that would benefit the USA we are given a bunch of slogans to mindlessly recite, like "Stay the course" or "Cut and run". Hey, you know what? There may be a middle ground, or a way out with dignity, but we won't find it by quoting a leader without a plan. If our servicemen are going to die there, don't you think we deserve more than "They hate our freedom?"

No, I've tried that. I got one answer. Sometimes if you ask a homework question someone will cut and paste wickepedia for you, but that's about it.

I would agree.

I'm sick of the insults I've recieved from a few members that don't like opposing views.

Good question.
