ok i have a problem i just got sond back on my pc but i plug in my mic and it does not work i do not know what to do can some on help me

i have it off mute it wont let me balance my mic what should i do

if the mic still doesn't work even after checking it's not "mute", try plugging it into another PC just to make sure the mic works elsewhere.
If it works on another PC, but not in yours, your problem might either be with the connectors or with your card.

Double-click the sound icon in your system tray (by the clock at the bottom) and click on Properties, then Recording Properties and make sure your sound card is the set device for mic recording. You'll probally just need to add a check.

Make sure the mic is not set to mute.

Try double clicking on your volume icon, and unclicking "mute" in the microphone column.

maybe its on mute if not make sure your connection is good it can also be your sound card
