My brother recently purchased a wooden orcarina similar to the Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time game. I don't know how to play one of these things. Is it similar to playing a flute? Anyone?

My dad has an ocarina stored away in one of his chests, and he pulled it out for me to see years ago. It's more similar to playing a recorder, in terms of fingering, embouchure and the amount of wind you need to put through it. Like the recorder, if you blow too hard into an ocarina you'll get undesired overtone notes.
