If you are innocent about things you say and don't mean to slander other races or religions by what you say, I think it should be ok.
But so many people take everything so literally and personally, it seems like they're just looking for something they can say AHUH! to and belittle you. An ego thing I think.
You can't even say Merry Christmas without offending some one any more. It's Happy holidays now.
We used to call licorice baby candy, ****** babies and could buy them 3 for a penny. They were candy, we never associated them with a race. It was just what they were called.
Mentally retarded {not full developed} are now mentally challanged.
Mogoloids are Downs syndrome, and school bullies and trouble makers now have attention deffecite{Spelling?] disorder.
Canola used to be called rape seed because it takes all the nutrients out of the soil and can't be sown iin the same feild each year.{It rapes the soil therefore the name.So on and so on and so on.

No, but Im sure no one can stand being around you if you always are politically correct .Having said that, if you were running for public office or are currently an elected public official, you must make an effort to be politically correct so the media cannnot pick on your mistakes.
If you are just a regular human being, you may be perceived as annoying.

yes political correctness is an idea we use to try not to offend anyone. how sad is this. the fact of the matter with all these P-u-s-s-i-e-s- who insist on doing it. is that if you stand for ANYTHING.. it doesnt matter what it is. you have automatically offended someone. period. so unless you believe in absolutely nothing you cannot help but offend someone.
